It's all or nothing now for Newcastle. 17 million pounds for the injury prone Michael Owen, saddled with a hot-headed manager and winless in four matches. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. I don't care what Owen says now, going to Newcastle was a desparate move. Sven should have told him to stay in Madrid and give those hamstrings another season to heal. . He would have ended up with a fresh and fit striker for Germany 06. Isn't that what he wants--fresher players this World Cup around? A missed opportunity I think. It'll be interesting to see this situation evolve...
