Street Moves

The new FIFA Street by EA sports is just a fabulous game.

What fun, what reckless abandon, what opportunities for creativity and
goals, goals, goals.
My 5 year old has never scored more goals. He doesn't even talk about
wanting to pop FIFA 2005 into his PS2 any more.
Who can blame him? I don't either.
And beyond the goals, most of which are volleys and top corner shots
and even bicycles, are the moves.
Moves, moves, moves.
And so easy to do.
While the left stick propels you forward, the right one will give you a
drag, a step over, a scoop, a 360, a little feint, and if you're
simultaneosly pressing the R1, a quick dipsy-do past an opponent.
You can also press the triangle button to get random moves when the
ball carrier is in motion.
It's beautiful.
No matter how many times my son and I have played Street thus far, a
surprise move will still give us a gleeful moment of pure footie joy.

Who says "video" games are bad for you?

These games are wonderful and if not instructional to players, at the
very least inspirational.
I should know, I was a pro.
I think I would have been a better player if I'd had the pleasure of
experiencing the joys of FIFA street all those years ago.
