England needs Rooney's Magic

After watching England put on a disappointing performance today against Paraguay, I am now convinced that the only way that they can win the whole tournament is through Rooney's magic. I had been tipping them to possibly win the tournament but today they displayed a disturbing lack of confidence on the ball and in attack. A great team would much more readily break down an opponent like Paraguay and score more than one goal. Today's England team cannot beat Brazil. And I now also think that they cannot win it with Crouch there. Use Crouch to get you out of the group and save Owen and Rooney, that's what I say. And Sven is doing just that. I am afraid that the whole thing will in fact come down to Rooney and perhaps the room that Rooney will create for Owen (if healthy) and Lampard, Gerrard and Joe Cole.
