
Roy Keane has captured the essence of Manchester United and their revered Manager Sir Alex Ferguson with these words on his testimonial:
"You get clubs who are happy to come second or third. Not United...The fans don't deserve anything less than winning and that's what the manager and the club are about." (BBC 2006.05.09)
And that's fair enough. I followed United closely a few years back. A great organization. You have to respect them.
But somehow they could be better, I think. As much as we must admire their commitment to winning, their bravery and their ability to run a business, they still do not play enough of a technically precise or tactically intelligent game for me to be able to include them with the great clubs of the world. They are still no Milan, no Real...
