To see England play the way Arsenal do...

Middlesborough's Gareth Southgate does not think his current club manager at Middlesborough, Steve McClaren, is ready to coach England. It seems he prefers a non-English manager, Arsene Wenger:

"He would be absolutely brilliant and I would love to see England play the way Arsenal do. That would be the ultimate." (BBC 2006.04.23)

This really interests me because I've long thought England to be capable of playing better football than they have.

While I think that the quality of their play has improved under Eriksson, I think that they could still play better. But that won't be happening if Curbishley, Allardyce and McClaren take over...

England really deserves someone like a Wenger or atleast someone like Terry Venables, a former England coach who had them playing some really good stuff...
