Happy in Spain

Would you be happy to be a professional footballer playing in Spain for
Real Madrid?

I know I would.

It's nice to see that England's Michael Owen is starting to come to his
senses. After a full season of speculation that he would return to a
club in his homeland because he was on the bench too much, he is now
changing his tune.

This week he told the BBC:
"England is my country. It's definitely part of me but who knows
whether, if or when I'll be playing there again."

Personally, I would love to spend more time on the benches of Spain. So
much beauty to reflect on.

Of course, my playing days are just about done and Owen really wants to
play.

But I say be happy to be in Spain and take on the challenge of becoming
Madrid's top striker. Owen needs this challenge. If he handles it well
he could make himself into a better player and person.

We all need a bit of a Spain in our lives.
